If your going to show the North Americans a new Ford Fiesta ST, you need to go for broke and use a pic of a three door ST.
or the U.K. only ST Performance Edition.
Based on a 197bhp, ST3, with limited slip differential, flow formed 18 wheels which are 7Kg lighter and the standard springs have been replaced with adjustable coilovers.

This makes me realize, absolutely nobody sells a 3 door anything here anymore. I suppose the problem is even 25 years ago the take rate wasn't very high.

Three door cars are getting rarer here too.
Abarth.
BMW 1 Series.
Citroen C1.
Fiat 500.
Ford Fiesta.
Mini.
Peugeot 108 (rebodied Citroen C1).
and
VW UP!
Even a couple of years ago there was so much more. Now it’s all five door hatchbacks, and estates.

Now that you mention it we do get the 500 and the mini here still , but they’re hardly in the same category as the Metro and Escort back in the day, in a lot of ways both are ni che cars, and not because of being 3 door. I think the problem is nobody is able/willing to make a truly cheap car anymore. The Geo(Chevy) Metro sold in the early ‘90s for $5000 and got over 45 mpg city from an NA engine. The closest thing in the US is the Nisssn Versa sedan which bare bones is at least $13k today. Even adjusting for inflation, the Versa is several thousand more expensive..

Ye’, the Mini, 500 and Abarth, are tenuous, as like you say, the Escort was a bodystyle amongst a range of others.
Like the Vauxhall Astra of about a decade and a half ago that came in coupe, cabriolet, hardtop, three door hatch, saloon, five door hatch and estate.

U.K. only for that car called, very imaginatively ‘deep orange’, last used on the Ford Focus Heritage Edition.
The Focus, only 50 made (to mark 50 years of the RS) , again, U.K. only.
